Cruises to Mexico visit ports in the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez. Departing from California, cruises on the Pacific side of this region usually find drier weather and more mountainous terrain onshore. Fishing, horseback riding on the beach, parasailing and many other sports abound. There are short itineraries that get you to the northern Baja Peninsula, but to really see the Mexican Riviera a seven-day or longer cruise is the only way to go.
